HIV/Aids Hinders Africa''s Economic Development (Ghana) AllAfrica.com (Ghanaian Chronicle) The Minister of Health, Hon. (Dr.) Richard Anane has revealed that the HIV/ AIDS pandemic is threatening the economic development of the African Sub-Region. According to him, the impact of the AIDS epidemic on the African economy has reflected in an increased expenditure, relative to a low level of revenue that it is saddled with since each death caused by the disease had registered a percentage loss annually, in the economic growth of the continent.
